What we collect
- Forms — the contact, catering, licensing and newsletter forms send us what you type: your name, email, phone and message, plus event or city details where asked.
- Ad measurement — if you haven’t opted out, the Meta Pixel records the pages you view and when you tap an Order button (see below).
- Settings on your device — accessibility choices, your ad-measurement opt-out and whether you closed a promo are saved in your own browser (local storage). They don’t leave your device.
How we use it
To answer your message, plan catering, send the newsletter you signed up for, follow up on licensing interest, and see whether our Instagram and Facebook ads bring people to the site.
Who handles it
- Netlify hosts this site.
- FormSubmit delivers our form submissions to our inbox.
- Meta Platforms runs the Meta Pixel.
- SpotOn handles online orders when you tap Order; their privacy policy applies there.
- Google provides the maps on our location pages and the fonts on this site; loading them shares your IP address with Google.
Ad measurement (Meta Pixel)
This site uses the Meta Pixel to measure our Instagram and Facebook ads. When it runs, it sends Meta the page you viewed, whether you tapped an Order button, and technical details such as your IP address and browser, and Meta may link that to your Meta account. Under California law this can count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t sell your information for money.
Your Privacy Choices
You can opt out of this sharing at any time:
- Use the button below. It turns the Meta Pixel off on this device and browser.
- Or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We treat it as an opt-out and the pixel doesn’t load.
How long we keep it
Messages and inquiries for up to 24 months; newsletter emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your California rights
You can ask to know what we have about you, to correct it or delete it, and to opt out of sharing, and we won’t treat you differently for asking. Email hello@chimmelierusa.com or call (213) 375-7095. We respond within 45 days.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
